Heading the choice of seven new Falcons is the sharply styled Futura Sports Coupe you see here. That smart accent stripe and a smooth-performing, gas-saving 200-cu. are standard. The vinyl-covered roof in black or parchment and 289-ci. in. V-8 (shown) are popular options.
The Falcon Future Sports Coupe interior, big and beautiful, features elegant all-vinyl trim and Is also available in dark red, black and parchment. Individually adjustable bucket seats, deep-foam padded for comfort, are standard. Courtesy lighting, lighted ignition switch and heater controls, front and rear arm rests, cigarette lighter and ash trays also are standard. Seats automatically lock in place and are released by a lever on the outboard side. Steering wheel and thick loop-pile nylon/rayon carpeting are keyed to interior colors.
For added zip, the optional 289 cu. in. two barrel and the new 302-cu. in. four-barrel V-8 engines team up nicely with the standard 3-speed, fully synchronized manual transmission.
